Cosey Fanni Tutti and Caroline Catz will discuss the pioneering electronic composer Delia Derbyshire, whose most notable work for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop was the theme to Dr Who.
Cosey examined Derbyshire’s life alongside her own and that of 15th Century mystic visionary, Margery Kempe, in her book, Re-Sisters. It is the story of three women, herself included, consumed by their passion for life, a passion they expressed through music, art and lifestyle; they were undaunted by the consequences they faced in pursuit of enriching their lives, and fiercely challenged the societal and cultural norms of their time.
