About the Event

Playwright Christopher Hampton and director Jonathan Kent are old friends and collaborators who have been working together most recently on Christopher’s translation of Florian Zeller’s The Forest at Hampstead Theatre. We are delighted to be hosting this special evening at our Faber offices on Great Russell Street.

Between 1990 and 2002 Jonathan Kent was joint Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre, which he co-founded as a full-time producing theatre. Subsequently, he has worked extensively and internationally in theatre and opera. His theatre productions have been seen at the National Theatre, the Bridge Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, in the West End, Broadway, Dublin and Edinburgh. He has directed opera at the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne, the ENO, St Petersburg, in Paris, New York, Santa Fe, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Christopher Hampton will be signing copies of his plays at the event.
