Jo Shapcott has published seven collections with Faber, including her most recent collection Of Mutability (2010), which won the Costa Book Award. In 2011 she was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry.

Amanda-Sue Rope is a London-based artist and designer. Working with paint, print and ceramics, her graphic compositions are influenced by the architectural richness of her environment.

This broadside has been produced in a format designed to be displayed.

The poem has been set on a Monotype composition caster, and it is accompanied by a specially commissioned illustration by one of four distinguished and sought-after illustrators and printmakers. The poems have been printed letterpress on a Heidelberg SB cylinder press at Hand & Eye Letterpress, London, with the illustrations printed digitally in full colour.

The broadsides are limited to a print run of 100 copies only. They are signed by the poets and numbered.


Jo Shapcott was born in London.
