Faber today announces the launch of a new US-based division and talented publishing team, marking a thrilling new chapter in the US.
Faber US is the new American division of one of the UK’s great independent literary publishers, defined by a distinctive range of quality non-fiction, fiction, music, poetry, film and children’s books.
Highlights for the list in 2025 include the enthralling fourth novel by the trailblazing Eimear McBride, The City Changes Its Face; a major new work exploring the meaning of art by the legendary musician Brian Eno and illustrator Bette A., entitled What Art Does; the Collected Poems of Wendy Cope, one of our wittiest and most beloved poets; Walter Murch, the triple Academy Award-winning editor and sound designer, reflecting on six decades of cinematic history in Suddenly Something Clicked; and a beautiful abridged picture book edition of one of the all-time classics of Faber’s list: The Coming of the Iron Giant by Ted Hughes, illustrated by Mini Grey.
Faber has appointed two full-time, US-based staff: a Senior Publicist and a Senior Marketing Manager, who will be leading on campaigns for Faber US. Brittany Dennison, most recently at Artisan Books and previously a Publicity Director at New Directions, has joined as Senior Publicist. Travis Smith has joined as Senior Marketing Manager. He was most recently at Algonquin Books and previously worked at independent bookstores for over ten years.
Faber US will be overseen from Faber’s London offices by Mallory Ladd, Director, Faber US and International Sales, and Sara Talbot, Sales Director.
Books are sold by PGW, the leading distributor for independent publishers in the US.
Faber CEO, Mary Cannam, said:
‘This marks an exciting moment for Faber. I am delighted that Brittany and Travis are joining us, with their considerable energy and expertise, to launch this new venture. Our new US division will enable us to reach an even wider audience for our writers’ work and I’m looking forward to seeing it develop.’
