If you’re a journalist, please request proofs from our publicity team: gapublicity@faber.co.uk
If you’re a Waterstones, Foyles or Blackwell’s bookseller, we also recommend following our @faberforbooksellers account.
You can also sign up for NetGalley to be considered for proofs.
Proofs, ARCs and galleys are all advance copies of books sent to reviewers before a book’s publication. ARC and galley are terms often used in the US – ARC stands for ‘Advance Reader Copy’.
In the UK, (and at Faber specifically) we generally refer to advance copies of books as proofs. They are early printed copies of the book based on its uncorrected manuscript.
The vast majority of the editing process will have happened before the proofs are printed, but the final proofread won’t have happened yet, which is why all our proofs are marked ‘NOT FOR SALE OR QUOTATION’ – there may still be small errors or typos that will be corrected before the book goes to print.

Faber Creators is designed primarily for online content creators in the book space, and for individual booksellers who love talking about books online.
We don’t have a strict rule for how many followers you need to have. We care more that you’re making thoughtful, interesting content and have a genuine passion for the books you review. As a rough guide, most of the creators we work with have over 1000 followers. If you’re still growing your following but are creating brilliant original content, we’d still love to hear from you.
To be eligible to receive proofs you must be over 18 and based in the UK or Ireland. We’ll take your following and the quality of your content into account when considering you for proofs.

In each edition of the Faber Creators newsletter, we’ll provide a link to a proof request form, where you can express interest in the proofs we have available. We’ll contact you to let you know if your request is successful.
We do also contact creators directly about proofs via social media and email. Our goal with the proofs we send to creators is always to get a book into the hands of the readers who will love it most, so the other best way to ‘register your interest’ is to comment on and engage with our social media posts about the book. Our Marketing Team take enthusiasm into account when putting together their mailing lists – although proofs are often very limited, so we can never guarantee them.
This email newsletter won’t come on a regular schedule – only when we have something interesting to say or a new opportunity to share. We expect to be in touch about once a month.
If you receive a proof, please post your review of the book on your primary social media channel within one month of receiving the proof, and tag us @faberbooks. You do not need to submit reviews via email. We take into account the quality and frequency of reviews in our selection process.
