Stranger, Baby, Emily Berry’s recently published second collection and the follow up to the award-winning debut Dear Boy, is a book of ‘highly intelligent, deeply moving poems that provide a new lens through which to consider grief’ [The Guardian].
In this exclusive audio recording, Emily Berry reads three poems from Stranger, Baby – ‘Everything Bad is Permanent’, ‘Winter’ and ‘Procession’ – each of which explore the experience of childhood loss in off-kilter and often painful ways.
