Introducing the Faber Poetry Podcast

The Faber Poetry Podcast is a twice-monthly podcast bringing together some of the most exciting voices from the world of poetry, produced and presented by poets Rachael Allen and Jack Underwood. Whether you’re a devotee or a newcomer to verse, join Rachael and Jack for lively conversation with their studio guests and audio postcards sent by acclaimed poets from around the globe

The six-part series will launch on Thursday 19 April on audioBoom and is available to listen to on iTunes and other audio platforms.

In the first episode, Rachael and Jack will discuss talismans, teenage crushes and gateways to poetry with their studio guests Emily Berry and Momtaza Mehri.  In these two teaser clips, Momtaza reveals a lingering crush for Morrissey and Emily discusses poetry as the ‘ultimate teenager art form’.

Other forthcoming guests in series one include Sophie Collins, Emily Critchley, Ishion Hutchinson, Richard Scott and Jane Yeh. We also have audio postcards – home-recorded poems – from Nuar Alsadir, Vahni Capildeo, Mary Jean Chan, Peter Gizzi and Ocean Vuong among others.
