Tickets: £10 (£8 for Faber Members)
Some ten years ago, David Hare started writing poetry for his own pleasure, occasionally reading the odd poem aloud to mark celebrations. When he reached 70, he decided to give himself a birthday present: the private publication, for friends only, of his selected poetry, under the title DECEMBER 1991 AND OTHER POEMS. Julian Sands, who has made an internationally successful one-man show from the poetry of Harold Pinter, now offers an evening of Hare’s poetry, whose special virtue is that it is not for sale.
We are thrilled to invite Faber Members to hear the poetry of world-renowned playwright David Hare, read by the actor Julian Sands. David Hare will introduce his work and, after the show, he will be signing copies of his plays, and his memoir The Blue Touch Paper. The evening will open and conclude with drinks for Members.
