Esther Freud

Esther Freud is the author of eight novels. She was born in London in 1963 and trained as an actress before writing her first novel, Hideous Kinky, which was shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize and made into a feature film starring Kate Winslet. She was one of Granta's Best of Young British Writers and went on to publish The Sea House, Summer at Gaglow, The Wild, Peerless Flats, Love FallsandLucky Break. Her books have been translated into thirteen languages. Her latest novel is Mr Mac And Me.
