About Book

Simon Armitage is the author of ten collections of poetry including Selected Poems (2011) and Seeing Stars (2010). He is the author of two novels, a bestselling memoir, and Walking Home (2012), a poetic journey along the Pennine Way. In 2010 he received the CBE for services to poetry.

Paul Catherall is a London-based printmaker and illustrator, renowned for his clean, sharp linocuts of architectural landmarks as well as his illustrations for high profile clients.

This broadside print has been produced in a format designed to be displayed in a frame.

The poem has been set on a Monotype composition caster, and it is accompanied by a specially commissioned illustration by one of four distinguished and sought-after illustrators and printmakers. The poems have been printed letterpress on a Heidelberg SB cylinder press at Hand & Eye Letterpress, London, with the illustrations printed digitally in full colour.

Printed on Somerset Satin White 250gsm.

The broadsides are limited to a print run of 100 copies only. They are signed by the poets and numbered.

  • About Simon Armitage

    Simon Armitage was born in West Yorkshire and is Professor of Poetry at the University of Sheffield. A recipient of numerous prizes and awards, he has published eleven collections of poetry, including Paper Aeroplane: Selected Poems 1989-2014. He also writes extensively for television and radio and is the author of two novels and the non-fiction bestsellers All Points North (1998), Walking Home (2012), and Walking Away (2015). His theatre works include The Last Days of Troy, performed at Shakespeare's Globe in 2014. In 2010 he received the CBE for services to poetry and in 2015 was appointed Professor of Poetry at Oxford University.
