Treetime

Treetime is a mysterious, once-in-a-hundred years time; a time when the trees uproot and become a mobile, motivated force - sometimes for good and sometimes for evil. During treetime, every other living creature is frozen in a trance-like sleep, which is why no-one has ever witnessed it before. But, when the trees are on the move, anything or anyone caught up in their branches becomes a part of their world. In his attic bedroom, far away from the rest of the house, Alan hears the scratching and the scrabbling of Old Ash against his window.
