Treetime
Roger Norman
Treetime is a mysterious, once-in-a-hundred years time; a time when the trees uproot and become a mobile, motivated force - sometimes for good and sometimes for evil. During treetime, every other living creature is frozen in a trance-like sleep, which is why no-one has ever witnessed it before. But, when the trees are on the move, anything or anyone caught up in their branches becomes a part of their world. In his attic bedroom, far away from the rest of the house, Alan hears the scratching and the scrabbling of Old Ash against his window. Alan thinks that the wind is making the branches move - but this is treetime, and Old Ash is stirring because he is looking for revenge . . . Treetime is a magical and spine-chilling fantasy exploring nature's hidden undercurrents, written by an accomplished storyteller
