Bringing Great Writing Back Into Print.

What is Faber Finds? :

Faber Finds is shifting the emphasis from survival to revival - making good books available once more.

The list launches with some striking names: Jacob Bronowski, one of the greatest polymaths of the twentieth century, the centenary of whose birth is being celebrated this year; Adrian Bell, writer of the classic account of an Englishman's conversion to rural life; F. R. Leavis, the most impressive literary critic of the last century; P. H. Newby, winner of the very first Booker Prize; A. J. P. Taylor, without doubt the most stimulating historian of the twentieth century; and many more - the likes of Peter Anson, Imogen Holst, Richard Cobb, R. C. Hutchinson, George Ewart Evans, John Cowper Powys and A. S. J. Tessimond.

'Your Own Private Printing Press'

As Faber's Chief Executive Stephen Page explained in the Daily Telegraph, at the heart of Faber Finds is 'the thrilling thought that the digital revolution holds the key to the resuscitation of many high-quality titles by good writers as printed books, not digital files'.

The technology is advanced and affordable enough to allow the publishing of titles in good quality editions for a small number of people. The texts have all been re-set, and the jackets are produced using a generative script. This is not short-run printing - each book is printed only when a reader orders it.

Ordering Faber Finds

Faber Finds titles are available from both online retailers and your local bookshop. Whilst you won't find copies on the shelves in bookshops, you should still be able to place orders - just ask your bookseller.

You can also, of course, order directly from the Faber Finds website, where you can browse the entire Faber Finds catalogue. We'll be adding more titles very quickly - we plan as many as 1,000 books - so please keep in touch via our Newsletter.

Because Faber Finds editions are printed only on demand, they will take a little longer to reach you - sometimes up to two weeks - but it'll be worth the wait.
